About

It started with Maria Carmen, my grandmother. Heading out the door one evening for a family dinner, my sister said, “grandma, I think I can see your bra.” It was true. Carmen was wearing a silk blouse unbuttoned to the point of curiosity and you could, in fact, just catch a glimpse of the lacey undergarment. Realizing this, she replied, “oh, it’s the fashion.” This quote became an enduring family joke and, eventually, the inspiration for this blog. Iz Dee Fashion represents the attitude behind the quote. The refusal to compromise or apologize even if your bra is showing. The confidence to be a little on the fabulous side even if you’re 70 years young or geographically located where camoflauge is king.

As father of the author, I can attest to two things; Annieb (aka Tiny) has been said fashionista and a gifted writer since about age 4. The fashion sense or at least awareness continues to come from her G-Carmen. Now in her mid-70s she remains committed to rockin 4″ heals daily, if only to mow the yard. She’s also the poster child for excessive, expensive jewelry.
Ann – maybe your toddler bob-haircut set in motion the internal drive to seek a higher plane when it comes to your look?
Our first glimpse was the full cow-girl outfit (with boots) for a family portrait session, purchased and adored by none other that her beloved G-C. It actually worked and set the tone for an otherwise bland group setting.
Keep up the good stuff on here Tiny!!
